MEET CHRIS DOLLBAUM
As a lifelong resident of Tuxedo, born and raised in Southfields and a proud graduate of Monroe-Woodbury Schools, I have always felt a strong sense of pride and responsibility toward the community that shaped me. During my high school years, I was honored to serve as captain of both the 2005 State Championship football team and the wrestling team, experiences that instilled in me the values of leadership, discipline, and perseverance.

After graduation, I pursued my academic and professional interests at Colorado State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business Administration. My education provided a solid foundation in project planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency, skills that continue to guide my approach to local governance and community development.

Today, I live in Eagle Valley with my wife, Therese, and our two young sons, Luke and Bryce. Luke is currently enrolled in Pre-K at the Tuxedo Union Free School District, and Bryce will be turning one this October. Like many families in Tuxedo, we are deeply invested in the future of this town, not just for our children, but for all who call it home.

Over the past two years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the Tuxedo Town Board. That experience has given me a deeper understanding of the unique challenges we face and the exciting opportunities ahead. I’ve worked diligently to ensure our town remains a desirable, affordable, and welcoming place to live, raise a family, and do business.

One of my top priorities has been attracting new businesses to our community, particularly in the Hamlet and Southfields areas. I believe that every resident should have access to quality local options for dining, shopping, and recreation. By actively engaging with regional investors and small business owners, we’ve begun laying the groundwork for a revitalized local economy ,one that reflects the character and needs of our town.

As a taxpayer and homeowner myself, I fully understand the importance of fiscal responsibility. That’s why I’ve taken an active role in our annual budgeting process, working to keep Tuxedo’s property taxes among the lowest in Orange County. At the same time, I’ve helped expand essential town services. I’ve personally negotiated contracts with Rockland Paramedic Services and Interstate Waste, delivering improved services at reduced or controlled costs, clear examples of how smart governance can make a real impact.

I also believe that strong communities are built not just through infrastructure and budgets, but through connection. That’s why I’ve been a strong advocate for expanding Tuxedo’s recreational and cultural offerings. Events like the Fall Festival, Summer Concert Series, Line Dancing, and the annual Fishing Derby are more than just activities, they bring families, neighbors, and generations together, creating memories and strengthening our shared sense of community.

If re-elected, I will continue to champion the values that have guided my service thus far: fiscal responsibility, thoughtful economic growth, and meaningful community engagement. I will work tirelessly to ensure our town remains safe, vibrant, and inclusive for all residents, now and for future generations.

I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together over the past two years, and I’m even more excited about what lies ahead. Thank you for the trust you’ve placed in me, it’s an honor to serve Tuxedo, and I look forward to continuing that work with dedication, transparency, and heart.
